01 / Phase & Structure

  • Trend: Check the latest BOS and the last three HH/HL or LH/LL. Favor pullbacks and continuations.
  • Range: Repeated reactions at support and resistance. Rejection outside → rotation; acceptance outside → reassess.
  • Contraction: Narrowing structure. Wait for resolution; increasing movement is not yet a confirmed breakout.

02 / Volatility & Volume

  • Compare ATR with 10–20 trading days using the same instrument, timeframe and settings. Add Bollinger bandwidth, candle ranges, wicks and speed.
  • Check level and tendency separately. Low + falling volatility with narrowing structure suggests compression; rising volatility may signal expansion.
  • Assess volume relative to similar times of day: pre-market, opening range, session or the current interval.
  • High + strong progress: momentum. High + weak: possible absorption. Low + strong: thin move. Low + weak: low momentum / balance.

03 / Setup & Management

  • Generally manage trends more passively. Large movement: protect risk and keep a runner only while price makes progress.
  • Be more cautious in ranges; manage more aggressively with high volatility, spikes and pullbacks. Review boundary reactions.
  • Be patient in contraction. Conflicting factors call for a fresh structure check.
  • High-impact news ahead: reduce risk and shorten targets. News is a context factor, not an entry signal.
  • The analyzer filters setup families. Location, acceptance and your execution trigger still need checking before every entry.
Priority: waiting conditions come first. Otherwise, structure, volatility and volume efficiency set the baseline; high-impact news makes active management more cautious. Based on your MCA and management framework, translated into fixed qualitative rules for this first version. Volume shows activity, but does not automatically indicate direction (CME: What is Volume?).
